Binyam Zewdie
Co-Founder & CEO
Binyam is the co-founder and CEO of AM Power and AM Power Capital. Binyam has nearly 20 years of diverse international business leadership experience in Canada and Kenya, spanning private and not-for-profit sectors. His career features key roles at Fortune 100 companies (ADP & TNT Express/FedEx), where he developed a reputation for driving business growth and fostering authentic leadership in the SaaS and logistics industries. Guided by a conviction that profit and purpose coexist, Binyam made a strategic shift into the renewable energy sector, leveraging his extensive private sector skills to create a meaningful impact in an area he’s most passionate about.
Binyam has a BSc Honours from Carleton University and a Certificate in Big Data and Predictive Analytics from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Stephen Abiah
Head Field Engineer
Stephen is a seasoned electrical engineer with over 20 years of experience specializing in solar PV systems. A graduate of the Technical University of Mombasa and certified by Strathmore University, he is licensed by EPRA to manage grid-tied and off-grid systems.
As AM Power, Stephen plays a key role in every project’s success, from the initial scoping to installation and maintenance. His responsibilities include conducting comprehensive energy usage analysis, detailed site assessments, and aligning client energy needs with optimized solar production. Stephen is meticulous in logging energy consumption patterns to ensure every solution is tailored to the specific needs of each site, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
With a reputation for self-motivation, honesty, and technical expertise, Stephen has successfully led projects across Kenya, D.R.C, South Sudan, and other regions in East Africa.
Samuel Adeyemo
Strategic Advisor
Sam is a seasoned entrepreneur and solar energy expert. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Duranta, a company that develops software for designing and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. Samuel was also the co-founder and chief revenue officer (CRO) of Aurora Solar, a leading solar design software platform that professionals use worldwide.
Before Aurora, Samuel co-founded Vituo Technologies, a solar EPC specializing in commercial PV systems in emerging markets. AM Power, a successor to Vituo, continues this legacy in the renewable energy sector in Africa. Samuel began his career as Vice President at JPMorgan, managing investments in the bank’s Chief Investment Office. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and both an MBA and an MSc in Engineering from Stanford University.

Kirteesingh Geerawor
Director
Mr Kirteesingh Geerawor has over 16 years of experience in the Global Business spectrum. During that time, he has gathered an in-depth knowledge of fund/company formation, administration and has been exposed to the main areas of the financial services industry including, but not limited to legal, tax compliance/structuring, accounting, administration, corporate secretarial and AML/CFT.
Kirteesingh is a holder of a BSc (First Class Honours with Distinction) in iInvestment and Financial Risk Management from CASS Business School, City University, London and a Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He is also a member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants.
Ravi Soobchan
Director
Mr Ravi Soobchan is a professional with more than 14 years of experience in the global business sector. He currently serves as Manager at ST LAWRENCE MANAGEMENT LIMITED, overseeing a team of 12 administrators and managing a portfolio of over 200 companies, including global business companies, authorised companies, special license entities, foundations, trusts, international business companies, foreign companies to domestic companies.
Ravi holds a degree in Finance from the University of Mauritius and is currently completing his ACCA program (on Level 3). He started his career at SANNE Mauritius (formerly International Financial Services Limited) and after 7 years he joined ST LAWRENCE MANAGEMENT LIMITED in 2018. Ravi acts as Director as well as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”).
Maya Shah
Marketing and Communications consultant
Maya is a communications consultant with expertise in digital marketing, strategic communications, and event coordination in the sustainability and social impact sectors.
At AM Power Solar, Maya leads digital marketing, brand communications, and stakeholder engagement. With over 4 years of experience in social media, copywriting, and content development, she advances AM Power’s mission to make clean energy accessible through data-driven storytelling and outreach. A certified digital marketer and ESG consultant, she uses communication to drive advocacy, education, and impact.
Maya holds a First-Class Honours degree in International Studies from Strathmore University.
Delphine Elijah
Business Development & Strategy Associate
Delphine contributes to AM Power Solar’s growth strategy through her cross-functional business development, finance, and operations expertise. She supports the company’s expansion by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring strong alignment between planning and execution. She combines analytical precision with a strategic mindset. Her work reflects a commitment to efficiency, collaboration, and driving sustainable business growth across AM Power’s operations.
Delphine holds a First Class Honours degree in Finance and Accounting from Strathmore University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
